By creating an account or using JobTailor ("Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use this Service.

JobTailor is an AI-powered platform that provides:

• Resume analysis against job descriptions or job posting URLs
• Match score calculations and feedback
• Personalized recommendations for resume improvement
• Cover letter generation services
• Keyword identification and gap analysis

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your credentials.

3.3 One Account Per User

Each user may maintain only one active account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or pricing is strictly prohibited.

4.1 Service Tiers

We offer two service tiers:

• Free Tier: Limited resume analyses and cover letter generations per month
• Pro Tier: Enhanced limits, advanced features, and priority support

4.2 Billing

• Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $4.99/month
• Billing occurs on the same day each month as your subscription start date
• All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated
• Payment is processed through Stripe, our third-party payment processor

4.3 Automatic Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You authorize us to charge your payment method for recurring subscription fees.

4.4 Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
• Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your paid period

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices. Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will apply to subsequent billing periods.

4.6 Refund Policy

Refunds are generally not provided except as required by law or at our sole discretion. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact our support team.

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures

• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account without refund.

You retain all ownership rights to the resumes, job descriptions, and other content you upload to the Service ("User Content").

6.2 License Grant

By uploading User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:

• Process and analyze your content to provide the Service
• Store your content on our servers
• Make temporary copies necessary for technical operations

This license terminates when you delete your content or close your account, except for archival copies retained for legal compliance.

6.3 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to upload the content
• Your content does not violate any third-party rights
• Your content complies with all applicable laws

6.4 AI-Generated Content

Content generated by our AI (analysis results, cover letters, recommendations) is provided for your use. We make no guarantees about the accuracy or effectiveness of AI-generated content.

The Service, including all software, algorithms, designs, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding User Content) is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software without our explicit written permission.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement

9.1 No Employment Guarantees

JobTailor is a tool to assist with resume optimization. We make no guarantees regarding job search outcomes, interview invitations, or employment offers.

9.2 AI Limitations

Our AI-powered analysis is based on algorithms and may not always be accurate or appropriate for your specific situation. Always review and verify AI-generated content.

9.3 Third-Party Content

We are not responsible for job descriptions, URLs, or other third-party content provided by users for analysis.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Costs of procurement of substitute services
• Damages resulting from job search outcomes
• Unauthorized access to your data
• Service interruptions or errors

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Cancelling your subscription (if applicable)
